Aluminum Chlorohydrate (ACH) in Sri-Lanka
ACH is a high-performance inorganic coagulant that has become the preferred choice for Sri Lanka’s modern MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) and water treatment plants. Its extremely high charge density allows for superior clarification of raw water from the Kelani River with a much lower dosage than traditional alum. Most importantly for Sri Lanka, it produces minimal sludge, reducing the logistical burden of waste handling and disposal in land-sensitive areas.
Aluminum Chlorohydrate (ACH) is a highly concentrated solution of polyaluminum hydroxychloride. It stands out in the market for having the highest aluminum concentration (23% $Al_2O_3$) available in any commercial aluminum-based solution, ensuring powerful performance for Sri-Lanka's water treatment plants with minimal product volume.
The basicity of our ACH is 83%, the highest achievable for polyaluminum solutions. Basicity indicates the degree of acid neutralization and reflects the high polymerization of aluminum. These highly polymerized species possess significantly higher cationic charges than standard salts like alum or PAC, allowing for superior contaminant removal at lower dosages for industrial units in Sri-Lanka.
